Kia Harkless, MD, FAAP

Dr. Kia Harkless was born and raised in Alexandria, VA. She graduated cum laude from the College of William and Mary with a B.S. in biology and a minor in psychology. After having completed medical school at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, she began her pediatric residency training at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children in Falls Church, VA, where she was named "Resident of the Year."

Dr. Harkless was featured in Washington Parent magazine in 2015 and 2017 as one the area's favorite pediatricians.

She enjoys cooking, spending time with her family and cheering for her 5 children as they embark on their future endeavors.  As a former violinist and self-taught cellist, she appreciates all things related to Fine and Performing Arts!

Dr. Harkless is on the active staff at Inova Fairfax and Fair Oaks hospitals. She has been in practice since 2004 and sees patients primarily in our Springfield office.
